In a letter to Anne Milgram, Administrator of the United States Drug Enforcement Administration, AlediumHR, in partnership with The Alliance for Connected Care and other leading healthcare organizations, called on the Biden Administration to make modifications to the DEA's proposed rule on Telemedicine Prescribing of Controlled Substances.

The proposed rule would have significantly restricted the ability of telehealth providers to prescribe controlled substances to patients they have only seen via telemedicine—a practice that became widespread and critical during the COVID-19 pandemic. The coalition argued that the proposed restrictions would harm patients, particularly those in rural areas and those seeking mental health and addiction treatment services.

AlediumHR's participation in this advocacy effort reflects our deep commitment to the telehealth industry and the patients and providers who depend on virtual care. As a leading telehealth recruiting firm, we understand firsthand the importance of policies that support the growth and sustainability of virtual care delivery.
